Perth & Kinross Council in Scotland are dedicated to supporting local communities and adding real social value through the money they spend. That is why community benefits is a key part of any contract they may award a supplier or business.

SPIE’s latest fire and security contract for the council provides them with the opportunity to support such an initiative. Fundamentally, helping improve community life is key to delivering quality work for certain projects and SPIE recognises how a strong collaboration with a customer that has people’s needs at the heart of what they do, can produce very positive social outcomes.

To champion this further, SPIE has donated towards festive lunches for The Perthshire Chinese Community Association and The Perthshire Welfare Society this month.

We are grateful to SPIE, who are delivering fire & security services to Perth & Kinross Council’s public buildings, for their donation of festive lunches this month.

Perth & Kinross Council Corporate Procurement Officer Lauren Dow

Lauren Dow, Corporate Procurement Officer, from Community Benefits, Perth & Kinross Council, said: "The Council is committed to working and collaborating with communities and businesses to achieve positive social outcomes through community benefits. This is incorporated in the contracts we award organisations and SPIE, who are delivering fire & security services to Perth & Kinross Council’s public buildings, are a great example of just that. They have donated towards festive lunches for The Perthshire Chinese Community Association and The Perthshire Welfare Society this month. We are grateful for their support and look forward to this continuing in 2021."
