SPIE is working with Project Co to produce hundreds of free grab bag meals for NHS workers at Salford Royal and Tameside Hospitals in Manchester.

The catering teams from our Salford Schools sites are utilising the currently redundant school kitchen facilities to produce a selection of freshly made sandwiches, cookies, flapjacks and cakes which are then assembled into grab bags along with fruit and bottled water.

The finished bags are delivered by SPIE and the Hospital Trusts to NHS workers and clinical staff who are finding it difficult to quickly assess meals during their shifts.

Kirsteen Hughes, Regional Director (North), Project Co, said "I want to say a big thank you for SPIE's support with this. Both the SPV and the Trusts SLT are really appreciative, as I'm sure are all the clinical staff given that the Hospital has had to close a number of their retail shops and coffee bars".
