On Sunday, 11th of September 2022, 14 women from SPIE UK joined their colleagues from across SPIE Group to participate in the La Parisienne Corporate Challenge, an all-female race through the heart of Paris in aid of Breast Cancer Research.

Since 1991, La Parisienne, France's leading women-only race, has brought thousands of women together to compete on a 7km course that begins at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and then traverses some of the most famous sites of Paris, including the Place de la Concorde, the banks of the Seine, Champ de Mars, and the Grand Palais.

La Parisienne has been an essential fixture in the SPIE calendar since 2012, and this year, almost 250 female staff members took up the challenge together with an incredible 40,000 other participants.

The La Parisienne event is a fantastic opportunity for women from all divisions and locations across the business to come together for a terrific cause. Gender diversity and professional equality are guiding principles at SPIE, and our So'SPIE Ladies Network, which is active in all subsidiaries, constantly looks for opportunities such as this to raise employees' awareness of diversity issues.
