Founded in 1865, Coatbridge College was Scotland’s first-ever further education institution and was originally established as a science school and mining college.
Today more than 7000 students from the North Lanarkshire area attend the college which offers a diverse range of full and part-time courses across departments including the School of Dental Studies, Computing and Creative Technologies and the Performing Arts.
Due to an expansion project, which included a new extension and refurbishment to the north building of the Kildonan Street campus, the college required the provision of mechanical and engineering (M&E) planned maintenance on an annual basis.
Services to be provided comprised:
The M&E annual maintenance contract offered by SPIE met the requirements of the college and planned and reactive electrical maintenance is now provided by skilled SPIE electrical engineers.
In addition, SPIE provide Coatbridge College with water quality management support.
Annual M&E maintenance agreement ensures that electrics are maintained to compliance standards and any electrical faults are responded to in accordance with service agreement
