As part of the work, SPIE provided first-fix services – electrical distribution, light fittings, pipework, M&E, 2,400 new LED light fittings, four new modularised air source heat pumps at roof level, new hot water pipework distribution, fire alarms and electrical distribution panels. Correspondingly, SPIE carried out surveys and risk assessments while working in parallel – with fast turnaround of procurement.
In order to meet the tight eleven-week strip-out and re-build deadline, SPIE decided to build the modular plant rooms off-site. As a result, the programme time to install the vessels, controls and pumps and related services was reduced by five weeks.
