Diversity

At SPIE, we consider diversity an integral part of corporate social responsibility and a driver for our development. All employees are encouraged to complete a selection of online training courses covering topics such as Unconscious Bias and Equality and Diversity. These courses raise awareness and drive inclusivity across all of our employees regardless of their position within the company.

SPIE UK has a Diversity Charter, a Diversity & Inclusion Policy, and an Equal Opportunities Policy, all of which are key to every societal decision making action we take as a business.

Time for Society 

Time for Society is a CSR initiative in which SPIE offers employees time to participate in collective volunteering.

SPIE UK has been involved in everything from painting to gardening or even serving up meals and washing up the dishes. Our employees get an amazing human experience as well as team bonding with their peers, while the organisations we support benefit from hands-on assistance and resources. Time for Society is a positive and valuable experience for both sides, and we are glad to offer our continued support to our local communities.

SPIE UK regularly raises funds for noble causes through various employee-led initiatives such as cake sales, coffee mornings, and work quizzes. On many occasions, we have invited our employee’s families to join in the celebrations with office Christmas kids days or Easter family celebrations. We do not support one specific charity, but instead raise donations for a wide range of great causes such as Breast Cancer, Save the Children, Women Refuse, UK Crisis, and MacMillan to name a few.
