These are undoubtedly unprecedented times, but today, like every day, SPIE is working with its customers across the UK to support critical facilities and national infrastructure during the COVID-19 crisis.
Nothing is more important to us than the health and welfare of our people. Our Business Continuity Team was activated at the beginning of the outbreak and is continually evaluating the situation to ensure we’re following the latest guidance from Public Health England and always doing the right thing for our people, our customers, and the public.
Adapting to an ever-shifting situation is a challenge that all businesses and institutions currently face and we’re helping many of them through it in a myriad of ways every day. From maintaining schools that need to remain open to look after the children of our NHS heroes and other key workers to keeping road tunnels and transport infrastructure operating at full capacity, SPIE is uniquely placed to support industry and businesses during these exceptional times.
Where facilities are closed, we’re monitoring energy usage to ensure bills are kept low, and our engineers are on call to carry out essential maintenance to guarantee they can open again quickly once life returns to normal.
SPIE is working hard to safeguard the nation's critical infrastructure. We continue to provide 24/7 support for data centres and other essential services across the country, and we're proud to be consulting with some of the biggest names in British industry regarding pop-up labs for COVID-19 testing or to repurpose existing facilities to manufacture much-needed ventilators.
SPIE employs some of the most talented and experienced engineers in the industry and has been delivering exceptional service to our clients around the world for 120 years. We are incredibly proud of our teams and would like to thank them as well as our customers and suppliers for their commitment, cooperation, and support during this extraordinary time.
The COVID-19 outbreak is touching all of our lives and causing disruption of the like that’s never been seen before, but we continue to support our customers wherever they are, and whenever they need it, today, and every day.
